We believe our community is strongest when we show up for one another. Here are some ways we work together to care for the people around us and across world.
Kids Clothing Ministry
Our Kids Clothing Ministry exists to meet real needs in our community with care and compassion. We provide clothing and essential supplies for children in foster care, support local organizations that walk alongside survivors of domestic violence, and donate stuffed animals to the sheriff’s department so lost or frightened children have something comforting to hold. We also help families in our area who are struggling, including those who have lost belongings in house fires or that are facing sudden hardship.
Drive-Thru Prayer
When life hits hard, you don’t have to face it alone. If you’re overwhelmed, grieving, anxious, or just worn thin, pull in for a moment of prayer right from your car. At Center Point FBC, we believe deeply in the power of prayer and are passionate about praying for the people in our community. We're here to listen and pray with you over whatever you’re facing.
9 a.m. to 12 p.m. most Saturdays in the front parking lot of church
Fireworks Booth
Our fireworks booth is one of our favorite ways to connect with our community. Throughout the week, we get to meet new people, catch up with familiar faces, share information about our church and Vacation Bible School, and simply enjoy being out where our neighbors are. Our volunteers serve together, build relationships, and—on those hot summer days—hand out snow cones to help people cool off. The proceeds support ministries like our Kids Clothing Ministry, but the real highlight is the time spent serving and being present with the families in our area.
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
Vacation Bible School is a week‑long summer event filled with fun, energy, and meaningful moments that help children learn about Jesus in a way they can truly engage with. Each night includes interactive Bible stories, music and dance, games, and hands‑on crafts that make the lessons come alive. We also provide dinner, giving families a little breathing room during a busy week.
For K–5th grade, typically the last week in July
Trunk or Treat
Every Halloween, our church parking lot fills with decorated trunks and friendly faces, providing a safe place for families to enjoy the night together. Walk from car to car collecting candy, take in all the creative themes our volunteers come up with each year, and enjoy some refreshments. It’s a simple way for us to bless our community. We love seeing our neighbors come out, laugh together, and make memories on a night that brings so much joy.
Operation Christmas Child
Each year, our church partners with Samaritan’s Purse to fill shoeboxes with gifts for children around the world through Operation Christmas Child. These boxes are packed with school supplies, hygiene items, and small treasures that remind children they are loved and not forgotten. It’s a simple way for us to share the hope of Jesus with kids in places we may never visit but still deeply care about. In 2025, our church family packed and sent out more than 800 shoeboxes!
